The ministry said the role played by HLL Lifecare during the pandemic was noteworthy, with the ministry appointing the company as the nodal agency for the procurement and supply of emergency medical supplies to combat the novel coronavirus.

While citing HLL Lifecare’s role in providing emergency aid, the petition says the country cannot afford to privatize such entities at this critical time when vaccination is still on. Stated.
