Know the difference between hair loss and breakage

Volume loss has always been one of the most common hair problems we face all the time these days. Thinning or loss of hair can lead to softening and the formation of bald patches. When we see hair loss, we tend to assume that hair loss is the root cause. Hair loss is a big concern, but it may not be the only cause of volume loss. Breakage can also exacerbate existing hair problems. Both terms may sound similar, but there are significant differences. If you’re confused between both terms, here’s an explanation.

What is hair loss?

hair loss and breakage are two common hair problems that most people face. Both conditions can cause hair loss, but they are caused by different factors and have different characteristics.

Dr. Singh explains the problem of hair loss. “Hair loss, commonly known as hair loss, occurs when a hair follicle reaches the end of its growth cycle and naturally falls out. On average, a person loses 50 to 100 hairs a day, which is normal. However, excessive hair loss can be a sign of underlying health conditions such as hormonal changes, stress, nutritional deficiencies, or genetics. It falls off, leaving a white bulb at the end of the tuft.”
