the idea behind smart vision glasses
The idea behind creating smart vision glasses is to take advantage of currently available technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine vision and machine learning to meet the needs of the visually impaired. As an engineer, I have worked on products that use technology in areas such as communications and aerospace, but when my sister and I started researching the various visual impairments that we personally experienced, we thought, How about applying it to help people with disabilities?” Handicapped? ’ So things took off from there. I started thinking along those lines, and around the same time other countries developed some similar devices. So I thought why not make it here and make it affordable for many blind people in India. That was our main motivation.
Smart Vision Glass: Our History
The journey was a little long, but very rewarding. We started manufacturing smart vision glasses for the visually impaired. The most important thing is vision, something that the visually impaired lack. So we have a high-definition camera that sends and receives images of our surroundings, images of every book, and, for that matter, everything it captures. And inside that machine, what we have is intelligence that is something very close. What we call “artificial intelligence” and machine learning are also being applied to the human brain. We take images, look at them and apply algorithms on them to find out what objects they are, what they are like, what they look like. We started with a lot of things like audio, microphone-like recorders, speakers right on top of the glasses so people can hear the audio and talk to the device. Battery backup was provided to support all of this. It also became very heavy and I couldn’t use it for a long time, so I had to balance the weight on both sides. And since most of us have smartphones, we decided to move this to smartphones. So we moved the intelligence to the smartphone by making it lighter. We have what we call a ‘split architecture’, where all the sensors like camera, radar and various stretch keys are here. Communicate with the digital images captured by the camera and transfer them to your smartphone. Smartphones have all the intelligence and algorithms they need to operate, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and optical character recognition. We put it all in our smartphones. As a result, it became lighter. And even a slight unbalanced weight on the glasses can be uncomfortable for the user, so we decided to work on reducing the weight. It may not be usable for a long time. So what we did was build a smaller image processor. The product now weighs just 46 grams compared to 96 grams for the second generation. In other words, the 3rd generation is a lighter version and significantly more power efficient. Longer runs are possible. User can use him for 12 hours. It may not be continuous, but that’s your timeframe. The most important thing for a person is that the frame is very light and the electronics are adequate. Because that’s the only way to achieve a comfortable feel and use. It’s been a long time. The very purpose of using this kind of device is to keep you reading or looking at something, so that you can use it longer. Our goal is to make it lighter. So this 3rd generation weighs about 46 grams at the moment.
Smart Vision Glasses – Next Generation
So what we’re trying to do is bring bone conduction acoustic technology to the next generation we’re prototyping (we’re calling it Gen 4). That means people don’t need to cover their ears with earphones when they use it. bluetooth, and what it does is transmit sound from the temple or behind the ear. So bone conduction technology is coming out and it’s a very good technology that gives you a better feel and it’s going to be 1/3 the size of the device and the camera resolution is going to be much higher. .
augmented reality project
Current spectacles address the problem of people who are blind. Because all we do is take pictures, process them, and respond to our hearing.But there are many who have residual vision However, they suffer from problems such as central vision loss, partial vision loss, haze, and blurry images. So what we can do for them is work on a project called “augmented reality.” Take a picture and rearrange the pixels so that wherever this visual loss is, it will be compensated for by moving to other areas. We are currently prototyping it and will be implementing it soon.
