New Delhi: India reported 425 new coronavirus cases in a single day, but the number of active cases fell to 5,259. Federal Ministry of Health Data updated on Saturday. Data updated at 8am showed the death toll rose to 5,31,859, including three deaths, including one that Kerala has settled.
The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was recorded at 4.49 billion.
According to the Ministry of Health website, active cases account for 0.01 percent of the total number of cases, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is recorded at 98.80 percent.
The number of people who recovered from the disease rose to 44,452,223, with a recorded case fatality rate of 1.18 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, 202.066 million doses of the new coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
