So let me tell you a thing or two about how to get rid of acne scars.

Hellshot heard the story Dr. Linky Kapoor, consultant dermatologists, cosmetic dermatologists and skin surgeons from the Aesthetic Clinic in New Delhi, explain how to get rid of acne scars and get clear skin. Before we do that, let’s first understand why.

Causes of acne scars

Your largest organ is your skin. The skin has three main layers, from the outermost to the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis. Thanks to sunlight, this layer aids in the production of vitamin D and protects the body from weather, UV rays and bacteria. Acne can occur anywhere there are sebaceous glands, but it is most common on the face, back, and chest.

“Acne can penetrate deep into the skin and damage tissue, causing lumps on the skin, which are full of bacteria, sebum and dead skin cells,” says Dr. Kapoor. Ideally, when acne heals, the body produces extra collagen to repair tissue damage, but if there is not enough or too much collagen, the tissue will not heal and scars will form. Overall, scarring can result from damage to layers of the skin.
